The Y welcomes volunteer services in the areas of programs, events, administration, operations and leadership.  


Share your friendly smile.

What: Connect with members, help newcomers feel welcome, and give tours to prospective members. 
Who: Enthusiastic adults interested in boosting the Y community.
Where: Exeter Area YMCA
When: An average of 2 to 4 hours per week.  Choose your hours to best match your schedule.


Where the whole family can get involved!

What:  From soup to nuts help run community-wide events including Thanks for Giving 5K/10K, Tri for the Y Triathlon, Healthy Kids Day, Y celebrations and more.
Who: Families, teens and adults 
Where: Exeter Area YMCA, YMCA Camp Lincoln
When: This is a one-time commitment that ranges from 2 to 5 hours


Get involved behind the scenes.

What: Short and long-term volunteer encounters that involve clerical and administrative tasks.
Who: Teens and adults 
Where: Exeter Area YMCA, YMCA Camp Lincoln, School Age Child Care
When: Business hours. Tailor your time commitment to fit your schedule.


Watch a game while volunteering.

What: Run the clock, record the stats and cheer on the players! Or share your refereeing skills.  
Who: Teens and adults 
Where: Exeter Area YMCA
When: Mid-week evenings. 8 to 10 week commitments, 1 to 2 hours per week.


Putter in the Y’s yard. 

What: Basic landscaping, pruning, weeding, raking, and watering plants.
Who: Adults and teens who enjoy being outside.  
Where: Exeter Area YMCA, YMCA Camp Lincoln
When: 2 to 3 hours per month, May through September. Flexible schedule.


Host a workshop, clinic or program.  

What: Do you have a skill or interest that promotes youth development, healthy living or social responsibility? Would you like to share it with your community? The Y is interested in hearing your ideas!
