Our programs for youth and teens are designed specifically for the developing bodies, ensuring that they are exercising safely and having fun at the same time. Our Kids and Teens Fitness programs are designed to improve your child’s overall coordination, endurance and strength while having fun and making friends in a safe, welcoming environment.

In this class, Chef Alex will introduce a variety of different techniques with new foods. Theater performance is a great way to explore one's personality. In this class for ages 11-14 (grades 6-8), we will cover several types of performance, as well as delve into concepts such as character development, stage presence, and choosing material. A friends and family showcase will be held for participants to perform on April 21st. Minimum 4 participants. Held in the Community Room.

Intended for ages 7 to 10, Junior Fit is designed to help get young active kids in the gym! By using bodyweight, ropes, sled, ladders, med balls, bands, and other tools we will create full-body exercises that help strengthen and engage our little lifters. Minimum of 4 participants. Lifting instruction is intended for ages 11-16. Taught by Dr. Kirk Lufkin and PT Brandy, you will learn the fundamentals of lifting and basic gym etiquette. This 5 week program not only provides the education on how to program and lift safely but also how to create a great relationship with health and fitness. Minimum of 4 participants, no drop-ins.

Help girls get comfortable with lifting over a five-week period! Learn the fundamentals of lifting in a safe area, surrounded by other female lifters. Held in the Odyssey Center. Minimum of 4 participants.

Grades 8 & 9 Learn the basics of passing, setting, hitting, serving, and blocking in a fun and supportive environment. A true team sport, volleyball helps everyone learn important lessons about collaboration and communication on and off the court. Basic conditioning will be included to improve each player's skill base.

The Y will be closed Monday, July 4th - normal hours resume Tuesday.  Enjoy your weekend.
