December Vacation Camp

Daily Programs December 23 to December 30

YMCA School Age Child Care is offering December Vacation Camp for children in Kindergarten through 8th grade at the Exeter Area YMCA with off-site field trips to recreation locations like cinemas and bowling lanes. Children can enjoy different age-appropriate activities each day, providing a variety of active (gym time), arts & crafts and cooking programs. Parents can know that their children are being engaged in games and social opportunities by caring and experienced YMCA School Age Child Care staff.


We have a different activities planned each day of vacation. Children should come prepared with comfortable and weather-appropriate clothing for the planned activity, sneakers, a sack lunch, snacks and a water bottle. On days with an off-site field trip, please provide weather-appropriate attire. 


There are three pick-up and drop-off locatons for your convenience: DJ Bakie School in Kingston, Exeter Area YMCA, and Hampton Academy. Refer to the specific day for details on pick-up and drop-off times. 


Once registered, you will receive a confirmation letter. All fees are non-refundable and nontransferable. Credits are only offered due to weather-related cancellations. If a trip is cancelled because of inclement weather, it will be posted on our website and our Facebook page.

Registration for December Vacation Camp closes at 9:00 AM on December 19. 


Elementary School Trips

December 23 – Strawberry Bank ($65): Join us in exploring the museum and spending time ice skating.

December 24 – Movie at O’Neil Cinema ($60): We will spend the morning at the Tuck Learning Center playing active games and then travel to O’Neil Cimena to enjoy a movie.

December 26 – Lowell Mill Museum ($60): We will be spend the day learning about the history of the assembly lines and mills.

December 27 – Nashoba Valley Snow Tubing ($65): Join us spending the day tubing.

December 30 – Portland Children’s Museum ($65): Enjoy a day with the YMCA at the Portland’s Children’s Museum. We will work together as a team in a dramatic setting and explore our creative side.

Middle School Trips

December 23 - Boston Aquarium ($65): Join us in learning about the ocean and the life that occupies it.

December 24 - Altitude & Movie ($65): Jump on into Tuesday while we spend the morning being active at the trrampline park. In the afternoon we will head over to O’Neil Cinema and enjoy a movie!

December 26 - Museum of Science ($65): Spend the day with the YMCA exploring the Museum of Science. 

December 27 - Vertical Dreams ($65): Hang out with the YMCA being active while we climb rock walls.

December 30 - CoCo Key ($70): Spend the day at the indoor water park while we splash around as if it were summer!
