YMCA School Age Child Care Programs

To Our SDYMCA Friends and Families,

Registration for the 2020/2021 School Age Child Care program is open!

All new enrollment for the upcoming program week must be completed by Thursday at noon the week prior. This allows the YMCA to maintain the proper staff-to-child ratio, provide site staff with all the required state licensing and emergency contact paperwork, and set up the new registration in our billing/enrollment system. Registrations completed after Thursday at noon for the upcoming week will not be allowed to start until confirmation has been received regarding their approved start date.

Our SACC programs are designed around each SAU’s learning plans for the school year, whether in-person, remote learning, or a hybrid model. With recent orders from the governor’s office and announcements from our school districts service regarding a return to full-time in-person learning, we are transitioning back to our traditional before- and after-school care model of program offerings. Offerings are based upon a combination of factors including facility access and our capacity for care based on staffing and enrollment.

As circumstances change, our SACC team will remain flexible to best serve the community. To this end, all program offerings will be subject to change. We will communicate these changes as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience as we work to roll out our offerings, and we look forward to the new school year! Here are our current offerings, as of 05/03/21:

Traditional Before- and After-School Programs

  • Brentwood (Swasey Central School) – AM from 7a-8:45a, PM from 2:15p-5:30p
  • Exeter (beginning Monday 05/03/21; Tuck Learning Campus) – AM from 7a-8:15a, PM from 2:30p-5:30p; for MSS and LSS students, bussing provided by district to and from school.
  • Newton (Newton Memorial School) – AM from 7a-8:45a, PM from 2:15p-5:30p; for both Newton and Kingston residents, bussing provided by district to the Bakie School for children grades K-3.

Please check our rates page for current rates.

For families in towns not listed above, we are in constant communication with all the schools we have served in the past to determine the best path forward. We hope to return to providing programming to all our communities soon. If you would like to receive updates on future program offerings, please reach out to be added to our communication list.
