YMCA Camp Lincoln Mission and Goals

YMCA Camp Lincoln is a nonprofit whose mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

For you, a camper, the day’s success may be measured by how dirty you are; how you strengthened a friendship; how you pushed yourself to try something new; or how well you lived the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

For Camp Lincoln, the day’s success is measured much the same way, but we also work to:

  • Offer the most diverse and highest quality summer camp program in the region
  • Provide a safe, supportive environment where children develop leadership skills, build life-long friendships and gain self-confidence;
  • Welcome campers from a variety of backgrounds (i.e., age, gender, race and ability);
  • Ensure that all children who want the camp experience receive it regardless of ability to pay;
  • Help campers develop self-confidence and self-respect and an appreciation of an individual’s own worth;
  • Encourage campers to grow as responsible members of their families and citizens of their communities; and
  • Be a steward of Kingston Lake.

YMCA Camp Lincoln is an active member of the Kingston Lake Association, with whom we work “to preserve and improve healthy water quality and sound land use practices” for future generations of campers.

Southern District YMCA is a cause-driven organization that is for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
