SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE
With more than 450 children typically enrolled in our twelve before and after school locations, our programs enable students to enjoy going to a place where staff are engaging, supportive and fun. Parents rely on quality, affordable care. And, they can relax knowing that their children are safe, happy, getting homework completed, eating healthy snacks, getting at least 30 minutes of physical activity and participating in curriculum that supports learning.

When school is out for holidays or scheduled in-service and teacher workshop days, YMCA School Age Child Care offers full-day programming for youth in grades K-5 enrolled in School Age Child Care. Y programs allow children to explore and learn beyond school in a safe and fun environment. Children must come prepared with masks, lunch, snacks, water bottle, and weather appropriate attire.
With a staff to child ratio of 1:10, the YMCA offers full-day vacation camps during New Hampshire school breaks in December, February and April. There are separate day trips for students in elementary (grades K-5) and middle school (grades 6-8). Led by YMCA School Age Child Care, our staff has experience working with children, are trained in CPR, First Aid and additional child safety courses. This is a weekly registration. Children must be enrolled in School Age Child Care to attend Vacation Camps. Pre-registration is required.
This summer, the YMCA is offering Little River Camp to elementary aged children. Kids explore and learn in a safe and fun environment. Daily activities include team building, leadership skills, arts and crafts, STEM, 21st century skills and more! This program practices social distancing and other safety measures to reflect the CDC guidelines.
Weekly session will be held at the Tuck Learning Center (30 Linden Street, Exeter) and outside at the Exeter Area YMCA.
