Dawn Emerson

Human Resources Director


Dawn brings 25+ years of experience and understanding of HR from both profit and non-profit companies. Her most recent experience was with the American Red Cross covering the New England territory. Dawn’s passion for HR began while she was an employee for Shaw’s Supermarkets while she was still in high school and that passion for HR has remained strong. Dawn holds a Certified Professional Certificate with the Society of Human Resources (SHRM). In Dawn’s spare time, she can be found spending time with her husband, cooking, gardening and snowmobiling.


Kristina Wagnitz

Interim Director of Camping


Kristina is a New Hampshire native who has worked in various positions since 2001. Although she works in the office most days, her Bachelor's Degree in Outdoor Education ensures that she can occassionally be seen on the ropes course or leading a hike. Kristina loves helping new families understand the impact camp can have on their child, and finding a way to make camp affordable for all. In her free time, Kristina enjoy playing with her kids, reading, quilting, camping, and leading her local Girl Scout troop.


Tanisha Johnson

Associate Branch Director


Tanisha earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Leadership. Tanisha brings more than a decade of experience in coaching and program management; she discovered her passion for empowering others to utilize their talent and skills to meet organizational goals. Tanisha held volunteer positions with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, and she began several community programs and partnerships at which girls learned to channel their inner confidence to be innovators and leaders. Tanisha’s focus is to continue the YMCA mission: to be a pillar of community service. She is a believer in the power of building relationships, and lives by the adage, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” In her spare time, she enjoys cooking new recipes, reading, and spending quality time with her family!


Stephanie Sturgis

School Age Program Director


Stephanie took on the role as our School Age Child Care Program Director in October of 2017 after working as a Program Coordinator since 2013. She has over 17 years of experience in the childcare field throughout the Seacoast. She is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a BA in Psychology with a focus in Child and Adolescent Psychology. and a minor in Early Childhood Education. She also has a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership. Stephanie is an advocate in the childcare field and is passionate about making a positive impact on youth and families. When she’s not working at the YMCA, Stephanie can be found with her husband and their four children hiking, kayaking or just relaxing by the fire.
