Tanya began her career in School Age Child Care in 2000, where she worked with inner city children in Massachusetts during summer programming.  It was then that Tanya’s passion for educating and guiding children during out of school time began. She realized that by providing these children with quality child care and “out of the box” learning experiences that the children were progressing in academic areas of reading and math as well as developing their social skills. In 2011, Tanya joined the Southern District YMCA School Age Child Care Team as a Program Coordinator, overseeing eight of our school age child care programs. Today, Tanya is the Director of School Age Child Care and oversees all sixteen programs. In her spare time, Tanya enjoys traveling, spending time exploring New Hampshire with her husband and son, and visiting with her family.
