Kingston Lake Swim Challenge

2 miles, 1 mile, 1/2 mile or 400 yards.  Swimmers of all levels will choose their distance and test their limits in the area's first open water race of the season! Swimmers will be challenged with a distance that matches their capabilities. 

This fundraiser will support the aquatic center campaign underway at the Exeter Area YMCA which will provide instructional, recreational and competitive swim opportunities. Exeter Swim Team, Solo Aquatics, and Triple Crown Swimmer Bob Fernald are graciously donating their time and resources to make this event successful.  

THE COURSE: The main course will be a loop of which the 1 mile racers will swim once and the two mile racers will swim twice. Half mile swimmers will swim a partial loop. A fourth race option will be a separate 400 meter out-and-back course (shorter course, smaller fee). All races will have a waist-deep water start at the water-front of YMCA Camp Lincoln.

ELIGIBILITY: This event is open to all female and male swimmers. Youth swimmers ages 11-17 must be have coach approval and/or attend the two-hour Open Water Swim Clinic. Youth swimmers not affiliated with a swim team should contact

AWARDS: The top 3 male finishers and female finishers of each distance will be recognized. 

Open Water Swim Clinic: Train with Bob Fernald, the world's 136th person to complete the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming. A two-hour clinic learning open water skills and safety while getting comfortable in the open water will be scheduled.  Learn from an expert who has swam the English Channel, Manhattan and Catalina in the 10th fastest combined time in history.
