Leadership Development Series

Think about the last person with whom you had a conversation. Can you remember the color of their eyes, or were you stuck staring at the back of their cell phone?

Traditional communication skills are extremely critical for success, especially when social media and mobile devices consume so much of our time and energy.  Southern District YMCA's mission includes positive youth development; we believe that development looks a little different with the introduction of technology.

Exeter Area YMCA has partnered with The Voice Library to create a program that teaches teens, ages 13-18, critical communication skills in a fun, engaging, technological way. Through our 7-Week Leadership Development Series at Exeter Area YMCA, industry professionals will help your child engage with the world and learn to verbally express themselves--whether for upcoming college searches, for job interviews, or simply for face-to-face conversations! Take a look at the curriculum below, and please, register your child for this awesome opportunity to strengthen 'soft skills.'

COST: $45.00*
Each class is limited to 12 students to maximize effectiveness.

*Exeter Hospital has generously provided a grant subsidy; this course is being offered at a discounted price (originally $99.00/student), and includes a $35.00 software package that is yours to keep.
