Program Assistant

The Southern District YMCA School Age Child Care program is seeking energetic and creative individuals to provide a high-quality before-and-after-school child care program that meets YMCA standards and state regulations, for elementary school-age children. In your role as a Program Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the Site Director and Group Leader in operating a licensed school age child care program for youth that is in compliance with NH State Licensing and meets YMCA fiscal expectations and Health Standards. The Program Assistant will assist the Site Director handle daily operations which meet YMCA quality standards; ensure the safety of the children; implement the selected curriculum; supervise staff and volunteers; organize special events; develop relationships with parents; and interact regularly with host site school administration. Additionally, Program Assistants are responsible for assisting in properly maintaining children’s files and attendance records.
